Am I crazy? Changing my business name & the reasons behind it... | Southern California Photography| Menifee, Ca Photographer

A little background: I received my very first camera as a gift for my 22nd Birthday (You can view that story here) and long story short, it very quickly became a side business for me. So as any side business would, I resorted to Facebook for free advertising and portfolio showcase.

Now...to choosing a business name... that one was definitely easier said than done. This was my hobby, something I enjoyed doing on my free time so I didn't put much thought into it. I very quickly chose a business name, something easy...Stevie Louise Photography. My first and middle name.

At the time, I was still working full time at the Bank so I used to schedule each session in between my long hours working at the bank, and edit until after midnight every night to finish the sessions.

Ryan was by my side the whole time.

He very assertively took the "Assistant" position with my new growing business and comes with me on (almost) every single photo shoot. He is the muscle that carries all my props, the conversation to entertain the men, my office manager, my marketing director, and most importantly...my support system.

He did all of this on his own, by the way. I never asked him for any of it, but I couldn't be more grateful for him and everything he does for me!

Fast forward 2 years...

a LOT has changed!

Ryan finally popped the question.. yup we're ENGAGED!

My photography business is picking up.

I quit my full time job at the Bank to follow my dreams.

And we acquired another dog (totally irrelevant).

But, back to the point...

Ryan wears so many different hats with this business and has been a huge part of my success, he truly is a business partner. I only feel it's right to make some changes around here.
